From “You are the Message” by Roger Ailes
IS NOT THE CRITIC WHO COUNTS; NOT THE MAN WHO POINTS OUT HOW THE STRONG MAN STUMBLED, OR WHERE THE DOER OF DEEDS COULD HAVE DONE BETTER. THE CREDIT BELONGS TO THE MAN WHO IS ACTUALLY IN THE ARENA; WHOSE FACE IS MARRED BY DUST AND SWEAT AND BLOOD; WHO STRIVES VALIANTLY; WHO ERRS AND COMES SHORT AGAIN AND AGAIN; WHO KNOWS THE GREAT ENTHUSIASMS, THE GREAT DEVOTIONS, AND SPENDS HIMSELF IN A WORTHY CAUSE; WHO AT BEST KNOWS IN THE END THE TRIUMPH OF HIGH ACHIEVEMENT; AND WHO AT THE WORST IF HE FAILS, AT LEAST FAILS WHILE DARING GREATLY,’SO THAT HIS PLACE SHALL NEVER BE WITH THOSE COLD AND TIMID SOULS WHO KNOW NEITHER VICTORY NOR DEFEAT. —Theodore Roosevelt
From this Sunday’s message at Calvary Chapel
“The morality of a culture inevitably finds its roots in the God or god(s) of that culture. We imitate who or what we worship. The cultures where God’s people had been (Egypt) and were going (Canaan) had sexual practices that were not in keeping with the character and morality of the God of Israel and thus were not to be shared in by God’s people.”

Today’s sermon and service at Calvary Chapel, October 18, 2015 – “Sex in Our City”
From tomorrow’s sermon at Calvary Chapel – “Sex in Our City”
“As I get further from college, I know more and more Christian friends who have sex outside of marriage, live with their boyfriends, or act in any number of ways outside of the “rules.” I want to call them back to faithfulness, but I’m tempted to wonder, “Does it really matter? Does following the rules really make sense anymore in their situation?” I realize firsthand the kind of rationalization we risk when we wrongly conceptualize sexuality as just a bunch of restrictions. As Christians, we understand God’s commands and intentions for how we live in the context of the gospel that has set us free—not separate from it or in opposition to it.” – Liuan Huska from blog article “Staying Faithful; How Our Sex Lives Matter

This past weeks sermon at Calvary Chapel – Killing in Our City – Pt. 2 – October 4, 2015
The sad outcome of the narrasistic thinking of some pro-choice leaders
WHEN THIS IS THE PREVAILING ATTITUDE ABOUT “CHOICE”
“Here’s the complicated reality in which we live: All life is not equal. That’s a difficult thing for liberals like me to talk about, lest we wind up looking like death-panel-loving, kill-your-grandma-and-your-precious-baby storm troopers. Yet a fetus can be a human life without having the same rights as the woman in whose body it resides. She’s the boss. Her life and what is right for her circumstances and her health should automatically trump the rights of the non-autonomous entity inside of her. Always.
……..And I would put the life of a mother over the life of a fetus every single time — even if I still need to acknowledge my conviction that the fetus is indeed a life. A life worth sacrificing.”
