25 Days of Preparation

This past Sunday we completed our 40 Days of Focus. I trust they were a blessing to you. As you know, right now New York in general and New York City in specific are on pause. In 25 days, on June 7^th, our city is scheduled to reopen. That may or may not happen. Whenever our city opens up again it is very important that we be ready spiritually as well as physically. It is my prayer that for the next 25 days will do all we can to prepare ourselves for what is next. I think we should label the next 25 days as “25 Days of Preparation”. To ensure that we will be fully prepared we will exploring the theme of the armor of God from Ephesians 6:10-20 from May 13^th – June 7^th.

Personal Prayer Project – Putting on the Armor of God Every Day – We should seek to pray put on the Armor of God through prayer every day.

Ephesians 6:14–17 – Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; ¹⁷ and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God…

Personal Neighborhood Projects – We are still going to seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our neighborhoods to our neighbors – Everyday please pray for your neighbors and regularly check up on them. We are the shepherds of our neighborhoods. We are Jesus to them.

5. Personal Outreach Project – We are still going to seek to be a witness for our Lord by sharing with others about Him via text messaging, Facebook, Instagram and emails. I encourage you to purchase some gospels of John for yourself and share them with others. They can be bought here very inexpensively.
