the people who pray 9 outline newest

From tomorrow’s message at Calvary Chapel – “Your greatest moment is when you were born. Your second greatest moment is when you discover why.” – Mark Twain
“The reason we pray so little is that we do not plan to pray. Wise planning will ensure that we devote ourselves to prayer often, even if for brief periods: it is better to pray often with brevity than rarely but at length. But the worst option is simply not to pray—and that will be the controlling pattern unless we plan to pray. If we intend to change our habits, we must start here.” – From D. A. Carson in Praying with Paul
In my opinion Donald Trump is in many ways like the Biblical character Nebuchadnezzar. He is filled with pride but redeemable by God. He, like the Babylon King, needs a Daniel, to lead him into a relationship with the one true God. Please see Daniel’s testimony before Nebuchadnezzar as well as his words to him in Daniel 1-4, especially the kings humbling and conversion in Daniel 4. Listen to Nebuchadnezzar’s word at the end – Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

“For the serious follower of Jesus, fasting was not an option; it was an expectation. As we have already mentioned, the early church fasted two days a week and turned the world upside down. If we want their power, we need to follow their practices.” From Dr. Dave Earley
