13 The sluggard says, “There is a lion in the road!  There is a lion in the streets!” 14 As a door turns on its hinges,  so does a sluggard on his bed.  15 The sluggard buries his hand in the dish;   it wears him out to bring it back to his mouth. 16 The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who can answer sensibly.

30 I passed by the field of a sluggard,  by the vineyard of a man lacking sense, 31 and behold, it was all overgrown with thorns;   the ground was covered with nettles,   and its stone wall was broken down. 32 Then I saw and considered it;  I looked and received instruction. 33 A little sleep, a little slumber,    a little folding of the hands to rest, 34 and poverty will come upon you like a robber,  and want like an armed man. 

The desire of the sluggard kills him,   for his hands refuse to labor. All day long he craves and craves,  but the righteous gives and does not hold back

New Series Continuing this Weekend

At a time of great division in our country, the Civil War,  and at a place of great sacrifice, Gettysburg, one of our greatest Presidents, Abraham Lincoln, said “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

With those words- “of the people, by the people, for the people” Lincoln reiterated what are our form of government is supposed to be all about – the people. 

 Washington D.C has become the most  narcissistic place anywhere in the planet. It’s not a swamp, it’s a huge toliet full of ego maniacs, virtual idiots and those who love to hear themselves talk. They are canaiballizing each other as sport. Their focus is not us but themselves. Their goal is not the betterment of the American people but the enriching of themselves. 

 IT’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT THE POLITICIANS, THE PRESS, THE POLITICAL PARTIES OR THE POWER BUT ABOUT THE PEOPLE AND THE PEOPLE’S BUSINESS.

 Remember the preamble of our constitution – “we the people”. I say we should give the whole lot of them one more month to come to their senses, stop the insantity and rediscover “we the people”. If they don’t or won’t, let’s collectively pull the flush lever and start afresh. Maybe what our nation needs now is another rebirth under God.
