When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. Mark 16:1-8

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last. Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent!” Luke 23:46‭-‬47 ESV

Lord, thank You for Your amazing example. You’ve taught us how to live and how to die.  Lord, may I never lose sight of the importance of dying as well as living fully surrendered to You. Lord, thank You that I can know that because of You when I leave this life I’m simply moving home to my Fathers house forever. May I always live in light of my future with You. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You came into this world to do Your Father’s will. You came to be the Word Incarnate,  The ultimate communication of who God is. You came to be the last Passover Lamb, the  ultimate Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. When 3pm came on Good Friday, You had experienced 6 hours on that cross in agony bearing our sins, demonstrating Your and the Fathers love for us, and being our substitute. Now in the ninth hour of the day redemption has been accomplished, propitiation is complete, reconciliation has been made possible, justification is a reality, The Old Testament pictures and promises have all been fully brought to fruition. You have done everything humanly and divinely possible to bring us, to bring me, to God and HALLELUJAH, IT IS FINISHED!

Lord, This heart wretching cry was because You were bearing all of our  sins. Your cry, Your heartbteak, Your separation from the Father made it possible  for me to never suffer the same.Hallelujah, What a Savior.You are.   Amen
